CUT DRYWALL...
Cut drywalls are machine cut or split to a uniform width of 8”. The 6” and 12” cut drywalls are available by special order with an associated up-charge. They are graded by thickness as well; 2”-3” or 3”-5”. The Cut Drywalls lay quick dry-laid stone walls that are crisp and tailored in appearance.

IRREGULAR WALLSTONE... Irregular wallstone is preferred for attractive walls that look rustic and simple. More work is involved in constructing a wall because stones may need to be broken and straightened. Graded in thickness as 2” to 3” or 3” to 5”, irregular wallstone may be purchased bulk or on pallets. Stones, which may be limestone or sandstone, range in size from approximately one square foot to four square feet per piece. They are referred to as local wall stone because the stones come from Ohio.

BOULDERS & SLABS...
Boulders and outcroppings are used for large retention wall projects, to simulate a quarry wall or face, as well as accent stone in yards. Boulders can be engraved with names and addresses.
Boulders are upright stones which can be round or angular. They do not have parallel sides. Boulders are granite or limestone chunks approximately 2` thick, 2` wide and 2` long or larger. They are generally used as accent stone in yards, sometimes carved with names and addresses.
Outcroppings are slabs of sandstone or limestone used to create a more rustic appearance and retain more earth. They are generally 6” to 12” thick and are about 3` by 4` in size. Other sizes may be special ordered. All boulders and outcroppings must be set with a skidloader or forklift.
Slabs are quarried stones which are graded by size and typically have parallel flat sides. Boulders and slabs average 165 lbs per cubic feet.

FLAGSTONE & STEPPING STONES... Flagstones are large, flat thin pieces of stone ranging from two feet to as much as five feet in diameter. They are used for walks and patios. Flagstone averages 1”-2” in thickness depending on the quarry producing the material.
All irregular flagstones are 1” to 3” in thickness and somewhat flat for paving walks, patios and in more elaborate applications, driveways. They are generally fine-grained granite, sandstone, limestone, bluestone, quartzite or slate. These stones may be irregular or in certain cases, patterned, which means they have been cut into squares or rectangles to be laid in a predetermined pattern. Laying irregular stone is like doing a jigsaw puzzle, making the pieces fit as you go. All irregular flagstones are crated or on pallets. The stones may be laid dry in compacted crushed limestone with sand as the leveling agent, or wet laid on concrete in cement.
Steppers are small pieces of Flagstone; normally about the size of a human foot. They range from 12”-24” in size. Steppers average 1”-2” in thickness depending on the quarry producing the materials.

AGGREGATES... The two main categories of aggregates are crushed and gravel. Gravel is more decorative and is typically used in exposed areas. Crushed aggregate is usually used as a base material and to facilitate drainage.
Crushed aggregates are angular in shape and are typically used if compaction is required such as for driveways, walkways, patios, drainage ditches, window wells, and for filling large holes.
Gravel has naturally rounded edges, are colorful and are typically used as decorative landscape material such as in planting beds, pathways, and to fill joints in paver and natural stone patios. Gravel can also be used for exposed aggregate applications; mortar and concrete mixes.
